Implementation of the iPad condition report in ZKM.

With the help of Skitch (Evernote), an App for annotation, and 3 iPads, the conservation team of the ZKM switched from paper condition report to digital condition report, easier to do, to send and to modify.

With this app, we are able to take a picture of the work, to condition report thanks to different tools, colors and a legende, to store it into our server or to send it by email.

Several museums, as MoMA (New York) and the Germanisches Nationalmuseum (Nürnberg), are considering using this system after I implemented it in the ZKM. In the future, this digital solution could allow a better communication between the museums for condition reporting (and avoid paper consuming).
